May this quote give you words to hold on to between now and January 29th 2022 as Venus slows to make her 40 days and 40 nights descent into the Capricornian underworld accompanied by Great Transformer and Eliminator Pluto.
Venus is retrograde least of all the planets - about 8% of the time - so every Venus retrograde is special and impactful at a deeply personal level. To pick up clues and threads in your own life, go back 8 years to late 2013/14.
I wrote last week: ”During the two weeks leading up to the Solstice/Christmas holiday - and exact on December 25th - Venus will dance a slow tango with Pluto for an unusually long time. This means that Venus retrograde will infuse the holiday season with some deep “feels” and transformational experiences in relationships, along with collective restrictions.”
And now we are all witnessing it in the outer world- in a literal playing out of symbolic Venus/Pluto as the fear of death magnified by the raised threat levels of a new variant, by extra government control mechanisms in response and by the media feeding frenzy over “having our Christmases stolen”!
Since January 2020 under the harsh Saturn/Pluto Conjunction, this part of the sky has experienced so much tumult - let’s hope that this Venus Evening Star to Morning Star Yin energy has the potential to eventually deliver hard-won emotional, financial and physical transformation and a salve for those deep wounds.
Saturnian Capricorn energy can feel serious, downbeat, negative.
This is a time when the only way forward is by going back and taking care of unfinished business, dealing with deep feelings that have their origins in past events. They are activated on an inner level but are often difficult to express to yourself or others while Venus is retrograde. In this Venus Earth sign transit, you get to re-think what really matters, what has value and what doesn’t, what works and what doesn’t.
