In challenging times, whether personal or collective, astrology is an essential Seeing Tool because it trains us to distinguish the laws that underlie the chaos that we feel.

So…to those of us aware of the hidden cycles, patterns and time-traveller tunnels in the World beyond the World, as Lord of the Underworld Pluto stations at 24 Capricorn ready to turn direct on Wednesday’s Libra New Moon, it was no surprise that the Pandora Papers were revealed yesterday. Years of undercover investigations into the corrupt dealings of plutocrats (yes-Pluto rules huge wealth) were brought into the light and put under scrutiny.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg….since the epochal Saturn/Pluto Conjunction in January 2020, we have all been facing the relentless gaze of Pluto in Lord of Time and Karma’s own sign, personally and collectively. Now is still a liminal time - part half in the pandemic/Cease and Desist and part half out. As things start to return to old notions of “normal”, as systems are switched back on, we’re seeing the stark reality of the Emperor’s New Clothes….seeing that all kinds of what we think of as important, if not essential ,stuff, is bust or mad or dysfunctional and the kicker is, it has been for a very long time. It is playing out globally, not just in the USA as it experiences the raw truth of its first Pluto return since the Founding Fathers.

Part of what is underway is a Plutonian process of change at a cellular level. Kali, the Great Dark Mother, demands that here and now we have the strength to be with what is. Radical receptivity to darkness. Pluto brings to the surface ideas and attitudes that are past their expiration date and in order for them to be let go-that is the matrix of transformation and regeneration.

It is a very different picture than the one we usually allow ourselves to face, but if you understand astrology, not surprising. Three years ago in 2018, as Uranus entered Taurus, I wrote about the coming supply chain disruption, food shortages and economic fluctuations.

Not knowing is necessary.

Being with our darkness is necessary to take back and reflect anew on our shadows, to articulate our disappointments, to acknowledge our angers and fears and to vessel it. So it also means being uncomfortable with uncomfortable truths. And, this is how and where the light comes in. The darkness makes it all the more possible to see the lights…

There’s more…On top of the deconstructing, radically transformative Saturn/Pluto/Uranus transits, we are starting to hit turbulence in the Chaos Nodes - the intersection of multiple rare and historic energy cycles all at once - akin to the perfect storm. This is the transformation we asked for but didn’t expect. This is the permanent, irrevocable, no holds barred Re-Set we said we wanted but have resisted all the way.
